Popular business prospect!

Yours truly has now received two phone calls from two different companies in less than a day!Last night, as Jaime and I were headed to the Days Inn in Neptune, Metlife Financial called my cellphone. Naturally, I answered and the representative suggested that I set up an interview. Their particular headquarters is based in Mays Landing, directly across from the Hamilton Mall. Perfect! I scheduled the interview for Tuesday February 7 at 11am. They want to hire me for a sales job based on commission plus salary, unlike our friends over at AFLAC.

As if that was not enough, I got another phone call today while Jaime and I were eating lunch at Target. As the phone rang, joking around, I obnoxiously stated, "Probably another job opportunity; you will have to excuse me!"

Sure enough, and much to my surprise at that moment, the Port-O-Call Hotel in Ocean City, NJ was calling me to set up an interview! According to the woman I was talking to on the phone, Portocall is not hiring until late March-early April. That is perfectly fine with me.

Interview, anyway? You bet. I now have my second interview next week scheduled for Thursday, February 9 at 3pm, right after I attend the career fair at Stockton. Portocall might be a bit more down my alley. Looks like I have quite a week of business in store for me next week. I'm ready to roar!

I love Jaime very much! We had an awesome time last night. After going to Chili's for dinner, we had a great night at the Days Inn. How about that Sangria????

HELL YEAH

Quickchek, compared to that of Wawa!

Earlier this week, the night before my interview with AFLAC, I went to Quickchek to purchase some snacks to eat right before heading to bed.

When looking for a beverage, I noticed an opened can of Full Throttle Fuel in the refrigerator where the beverages are kept! That was pretty damn nasty! One thing I can say about Wawa is that I have yet to see an open can of anything in the refrigerator or on the shelves. I can no longer say the same about Quickchek.

I love Wawa!

AFLAC interview aftermath, lunch with King Dingaling, and more!

Bill "King Dingaling" Dyer called me today to ask me if I would go to Subway for lunch with him, so I did so. We had a pretty decent time, as he showed me some classified exclusives on his cellphone. LOL. We do not see each other all that often, so I enjoyed having lunch with him today. He is currently going to school at the County College of Morris, the community college that got me up and ready for Stockton. At this time, he is getting a job at some corrections facility in order to create a back door entrance into the force as a police officer.

Yesterday I went to Hammonton for my job interview with AFLAC. I was impressed with some aspects of the interview and the job requirements; others I was not. I told the interviewer that I would be interested in a second interview to review the details of compensation, due to the fact that I do not want to burn any bridges. My intentions are to keep my options open and select the best opportunity that comes my way. As a result, my plan is to attend the career and internship fair that will be held at Stockton on February 9. I will also be bringing Mike Espinelli (host at work) along with me to check out the school, the fair, and to keep yours truly company. We both requested off from work on that day, so we will be making a day-long adventure out of it - one that should be pretty fun. Dress to impress is the name of the game with the recruiters of these companies. Before I go to work tonight, I intend to email the recruiters of the companies that will be at the fair, ahead of time, so that I may have a head start prior to the date of the career fair.

Ambition and motivation are crucial - both are prerequisites for progress and success at this time of my life. There is certainly money to be earned in this world, but only for those who are ambitious and clever enough to earn it. Hopefully this career fair will present me with at least a few golden opportunities to choose from. I have already had one interview with AFLAC, I have an interview with Sherwin Williams lined up should I choose to schedule it in the near future, but I want to create more options for myself. The career fair on February 9 should give me the chance to do that. Rushing into things can be a rather costly habit, but I really need to get a job that will provide me with the funds to move out and get my own pad. I, and I only, know how badly I need to live an independent life under my own roof and by my own rules. I know what I want. I know what I need. As eager as I am to achieve this life style, I must carefully select my (near) future career so I am not regretful later on.

As I have been told, Scott Davies will NOT be moving to Hawaii in June. Liezel's pharmaceutical company will not allow her to keep her job and move to Hawaii. They will be moving to Orlando, Florida, which means they will be a lot closer to the rest of Scott's friends from Jersey as well as myself. I spoke about the whole idea with Scott on the phone last night. As a result of Scott moving to Orlando, he will be visiting Jersey six or seven times a year. Due to Scott's decision to move to Florida, I will also be able to visit him rather frequently.

Splendid.

For now, it is time for me to go. I have some emails to write and soul searching to do. Time flies, so I must go with it. Take care everyone! Stay tuned for the latest on this career hunting, soul searching journey to a greater, more improved life style for The Great One, AKA The Uncrowned King of Life! You do not want to miss a beat!

Peace.

A flirt named "Nelda"?

Congratulations, Manny Pacquiao!

Super Featherweight boxer and Former World Featherweight Champion Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines recently scored a 10th round knockout of Tijuana native Erik Morales. Morales scored a razor thin unanimous decision victory over Pacquiao on March 19, 2005, but Pacquiao reversed that defeat with a memorable victory this past Saturday. This could possibly set up a much anticipated rematch between Pacquiao and current Super Featherweight World Champion Marco Antonio Barrera, whom Pacquiao battered from pillar to post enroute to an 11th round stoppage back in November of 2003.

Back to the subject of ME...

Today I received an email from Nelda. I am still not sure of who they are or what they do, but apparently they have a website.

They left me an email that presented me with an offer that I could not refuse, or perhaps a scam for which I have little time to waste. Scam sounds more accurate. The email was as follows:

Goodbye,
Nelda

Just for the hell of it, I called the number just so that I may have it stored in my cell phone. Maybe I'll call again at a later time. Sir Bryan Bradley??? At least they know how to address me! LOL. $1.5 to $3.5 thousand daily seems just a bit too rosy and sweet to be realistic.

Weather this past weekend was absolutely gorgeous. Driving back home from Jaime's house in Howell, I rode home with an open sunroof! Yes, it was that warm outside. It felt great to be honest with you. Here we are now, on Monday, with cold temperatures, rain, and even a bit of snow. What on Earth happened? Perhaps it is still January afterall...

At this time, I am at the County College of Morris, where I once attended school to earn my Associate in Arts for Liberal Arts. My intentions are to touch up my resume so that it looks more professional for my job interview with AFLAC (or more notably the quack-quack insurance company) this coming Wednesday. I can only hope that I leave Atlantic County in a happy mood with extraordinary news on that day. My appearance shall look like that of a Time Magazine cover boy.

I shall appear completely professional.

Be sure to go to my links and check out The Cranky Hank Chronicles. Should you become this when you are 82 years old, I'm sorry.

Fun night at Applebees!

Such a nice day today.

Accidents on the Parkway last night were frequent, due to poor driving. There must have been three or four accidents between the exits of 140 and 127! To those who have not yet grasped the concept of driving, and had their drivers licenses given to them as birthday gifts, the windshield (the horizontal window in the front of the car with the wipers that wipe off water and snow under inclement weather conditions) is what one looks through when one drives. You are supposed to look at the automobile directly in front of you when driving. Not in the rear view mirrors, unless you are switching lanes. Not the dashboard. Not the side windows, which you are most likely to be focused on while checking Broadzilla or The Incredible Hunk in the car driving in the lane right next to you. The windshield is what one primarily looks through!

Applebees in Howell last night was a good time as well as a grand choice of something to do with Jaime, Gena, and Ken. We went to the bar, had some nice adult beverages, and celebrated life.

The bar was selling domestic beers for $2 a pop. Ken and I kept ordering rounds of Miller Lite and Yuengling, while the ladies stuck with their feminent drinks. LOL. By the way, there is nothing wrong with feminent adult drinks, such as cranberry and vodka and Long Island Ice Teas. They taste pretty damn good and get the job done. Jaime and Gena had mentioned something about being in chorus in high school and the fact that Jaime was in one of the pictures on the wall in the dining area. Ken and I walked over there to check out the pictures and to see if we could find Jaime.

Incidentally, there was this group of nerds accompanied by a pudgy-ugly (horrible physical identity to go through life with) who felt the need to talk smack to us men. They appeared to be younger than us, and not terribly bright, so initially it was difficult to decipher exactly what they were saying. Their simplicity was rather annoying for gentlemen like us to cope with, but I believe the rejects were trying to call Ken and I gay.

We actually were pretty happy last night.

Scrawny and ugly. Fat and ugly. Either of those two describe those condom popping mistakes who were seated at that booth at Applebees last night. They probably went home to be with each other, while Ken and I, two men quite attractive the opposite sex, went home with our women for the evening. Due to the fact that men such as us do not make it a habit to converse with idiots, we did not stick around in that area of the restaurant for very long.

Prior to going to Applebees, Jaime and I went to Johnny Carinos for dinner, which is also a very nice Italian restaurant. Their sangria is slamming! Portion sizes might actually be bigger than those served at Olive Garden. We had fun last night.

This coming Wednesday, I have my job interview with AFLAC Insurance. They are in fact a Fortune 500 company. Working for such an establishment would hopefully earn me a substantial income, set me on the track to embark in a fine career, and do wonders to enhance my reputation. This, 2006, is a new year and I look forward to making some major statements in the world of employment, graduate school, and life. I am The Great One, the Uncrowned King of Life, so I plan to make some great accomplishments and earn a few feathers to put in my cap. Rest assured, I'm going to makes some things happen this year. This year is the year for progress, success, money, power, and respect. I like the mountain top. I've been a few times at various stages of my life, so I plan to get back up there at this stage of my life. In terms of life, my spot at the mountain top is endless, but I need to get up there financially. That could all possibly begin with this interview.

Wish me luck.

At this time, I am going to get coffee with Jaime before she heads to work and I head back home to North Jersey. The weather we are having today is sensational. Enjoy it to the fullest!

Peace.
