Quick morning at Stockton!

Currently I am at Stockton College. I drove down here early this morning to take care of the exit-interview business that could've prevented me from graduating had I not taken action.

Exit interview, exit-pay the school shitloads of money, exit-freedom that college life provides, exit-don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, whatever you want to call it. Any one of them will do.

Whatever the hell you choose to call it, I did not want it infringing on my graduation, so I dealt with it in person. My trust in the efficiency of airmail is rather slim under such dire circumstances. Next thing I have to do is retrieve my commencement tickets and cap and gown. I will do that before I leave here to head back to D-town. I have work at 4:30 today, as a busser, but I had to come down here to straighten out my business regardless.

Let all the roads and obstacles leading to the glorious day of December 18 be cleared for yours truly. I will not be denied; I need that damn paper ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Around noon, I will be meeting Brian at G-wing for lunch before I eventually depart.

Waiting game!

WORTHY OF MENTION:

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are splitting up. I
suppose "the newlyweds" were not exactly destined to live happily ever
after... I must admit their two-season television series was entertaining.

For the most part, work went rather smoothly today. The first table of mine that was sat by the hosts presented a happy couple eagerly anticipating the holidays upcoming.

This couple had just recently purchased a new vehicle (some sort of pick up truck for which I failed to remember the make) and they were going to do holiday shopping after their meal. They must have been quite satisfied with my service; they left me a $16 tip on a $39 bill (for those of you too lazy to do the math, that is almost 50%)!!! That was phenomenal and it set the tone for a peaceful shift that came and went rather quickly. I opened the restaurant today so I was one of the first to be phased by management.

Basically, in more ways than one, I am playing a waiting game. Waiting for my graduation, waiting for a real "job" that comes with the degree, waiting for a legitimate deal to come up with my own place of residence, and waiting on tables at the Rockaway Olive Garden in the meantime. Lately it has been tough, but nonetheless I continue this job and residence hunt with my head firmly planted about me (as firm as it can possibly be under the circumstances).

In terms of internet access, I have been considering a Verizon DSL account for my computer. The yearly agreement consists of a 14.99 monthly payment with a modem included. Should I decide to discard the yearly agreement, I can pay $37.99 on a month to month basis. At this time, I might opt to stick with the month to month for the reason that I might not be around in D-town for much longer. The length of time left that I will be maintaining residence here remains unknown, but it should not be too much longer if I have my way. At this time, I need internet access in my house so that I may have the opportunity to search for better jobs and housing opportunities.

Scott flew back to California last yesterday. We managed to have a couple days together last week, which is a good thing. As you already know, I went to White Castle with Scott and his wife Liezel shortly after their arrival. On Wednesday night of last week, we went to Murphy's Third Rail Bar and Grill in D-town, which is a new bar that gives The Laughing Lion stern competition. There are not too many elaborate establishments for public dining and drinking in the bowl-shaped Dover-Rico, so it is a blessing when a nice little place such as Murphy's evolves. In fact, Murphy's is probably the only place that even draws me into the bowl anymore. Props to Murphy's for that minor miracle. LOL. They have kareoke night every Tuesday ($2 Coronas and $2 tequila shots offered). Wednesday night was a good time; plenty of D-town heads were in the house. Many of the D.H.S alumni from our graduating class, as well as the classes before and after us, were present. It felt good to see some of them; particularly the ones that I remember.

Later this evening, after he finishes up at the gym, I might be heading to M&S II with Bill Dyer, the dude who is flying out to California with me in January, for a stuffed slice. Until next time, take care, be safe, and remember to return again for the very latest in my world of thoughts, ramblings, ideas, and occurrences. You do not want to miss a beat!

Peace.

Friday Feast on Black Friday

"If the grass is the green, leave the lawnmower in the garage."

Somehow I managed to survive Black Friday at the Olive Garden for yesterday's lunch shift. I volunteered my services as a busser due to the fact that I did not want to deal with the people that day. The manager also informed me that the restaurant had an influx of servers and there were no more sections available. Therefore, I worked as a busser. Friday Feast took place at Gena's house last night, as it usually does every year the day after Thanksgiving. There were a bunch of us present last night, including Gena, Ken, Laura, James, Lauren, Kerribeth, Caroline, and many others.

These people continue to surprise me every year with the delicious eats and treats that are placed on the dinner table for all of us to consume. Along with all the food, there were also different types of wines and champagne, consisting of Pino Grigio, Beringer White Zinfandel, Martini and Rossi, and Kerribeth's Spumanti, which according to James is "cheaper than water."We all had a terrific time eating and drinking; eventually we left Gena's house and headed to Jenkinson's pavilion. For some reason, I just did not feel right at Jenk's. Perhaps I consumed too many different types of wines at Gena's Friday Feast. Besides the Vodka Baybreeze and Pineapple and Vodka I ordered at the beginning of the evening (a $1 each), I drank water for the most part. Jaime and I also found the time, through a bit of the classified drama that went down last night, to get our dance on. In the past, I have had better times at Jenk's; times when my body felt a bit healthier. Nonetheless, I had yet another golden opportunity to spend time with Jaime and Friday Feast was awesome. It seems to get better and better with each passing year.

I just had a bunch of thoughts and occurrences that were typed in this post, but I somehow managed to lose all of it. Fuck it. I am not in the mood to type it again. Perhaps another time. I am too tired to type anymore. I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. May you all commence with the holiday shopping! If any of you would like to do so, you can buy me a gift as well. I would not be at all offended. LOL. Perhaps I will post a Christmas list for all of you to view in the near future.

Peace.

Scott, Liezel, and a night at White Castle!

Scott and his wife Liezel arrived at Scott's home in Mine Hill at 1am this morning. After going to Murphy's in D-town with some friends from work, I went to Scott's house to see him, Liezel, and Scott's mother. I sat down on the recliner and looked at the photo album containing pictures from Scott's wedding in Hawaii. After going upstairs, I noticed the newly renovated bathroom. Very nice.

Afterwards, Scott, Liezel, and I went to White Castle for a little late-night bite to eat. Afterall, they had just gotten off a lengthy flight and were hungry; so was I. I had never been inside the White Castle in Ledgewood before - usually I pull up to the drive through so I can take my order home with me. That place is F I L T H Y. Where are the health inspectors when you need them? There were empty burger boxes on the window sills, drink containers all over the floor, a pickle firmly clinging to the window (looked like Billy Madison had thrown it up there), and a bunch of other filthy after-eats through various areas of the "restaurant".

In addition, there were a group of kids sitting at a table pretty close by, one of which let out a loud, obnoxious-sounding fart for everyone in the joint to hear! White Castle does, afterall, stimulate that type of response in the human anatomy. Ohhhhh... quite an evening at White Castle.

Today I am only scheduled to work the lunch shift. Time will tell if I actually pick up a dinner shift to make this day a double. Later this evening, I will once again be going to Murphy's with Bill, Scott, his chronies, and many of the classmates from our high school (some of which I probably barely even remember). When asked by Scott what my feelings were about "Joey Dirt" joining us at Murphy's, my response was, "Two words - who cares???"

Been there; beat that.

Time for work. Take care everyone.

Peace.

So many doubles, Anna's birthday celebration, Thanksgiving upcoming, and more!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! There has been somewhat of a hiatus since the last time I updated with a legitimate post, so here I am to make your day a special one.

As was noted this past Saturday, Bill and I will be flying out of JFK airport on Jetblue for California to see our friend Scott for a few days in January. Speaking of Scott, he will be arriving in New Jersey for the Thanksgiving holiday sometime around midnight tonight. I look forward to seeing him again - both this week and in California in January.

I have been so busy with all of these double shifts I am working at the restaurant. To be honest with you, it has been a bit tiring, but money will make people do outrageous things. It is not even like I am making great money, but I am probably making more than I would if I was working single shifts. It is truly amazing how many people literally do not want to go to work at The Olive Garden; I have been picking up shifts left and right.

Anna's birthday this past weekend was the bomb. The people involved in the celebration were Erik, Kristen, Ray, Jack, Mike, Jaime and myself. I believe that is all of us! We went to Casbah Nightclub at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. At the beginning of the evening, security failed to let me into the club because I was wearing black Sketcher boots. However, they were admitting guests who were wearing ugly-ass sneakers!?! Go figure!

Casbah is a landmark for any Atlantic City club guide. It's got it all; hot people, dancers in cages, the shot girls, great sound and lighting system - the works. Hip hop and house 'til 6am and the ladies always get in free. The Casbah, located inside of the Trump Taj Mahal, has set the standard for nightclubs in Atlantic City.

Interesting standards. Gentlemen are admitted with athletic sneakers. I suppose that just adds to the exotic presence that both the nightclub and the people in it radiate.
The club itself was quite enjoyable and rather alluring, but it had some bizarre standards that are unexplainable to say the very least. As a result, I walked to back to Ray's car with Ray to get the pair of sneakers he had with him. Upon returning to the club entrance, they let me in immediately. Fortunately, Kristen had a P.B.A. card, so I was admitted without having to pay $10 cover that other gentlemen would have the "privledge" of paying after midnight. A walk back to Ray's car to replace my black shoe-resembling Sketchers, with sneakers, in exchange for not having to pay a $10 cover charge???? All is forgiven. LOL. Thank you Kristen!

We danced for a while, had some drinks, and then headed to Pitney Tavern. We were only there for a few minutes because the kitchen was closed and we really wanted to get something to eat. Therefore, we went to Wawa and got some sandwiches and snacks. Anna let Jaime and I crash at her apartment on campus, which was quite hospitable of her.

The following night, Jaime and I went to the Olive Garden in Hamilton for dinner. What the hell was I doing going to the company I work at for dinner?????????? Oh yeah, perhaps it is because I actually like the food that Olive Garden has to offer, if not the actual labor. Jaime ordered the Chicken Vino Bianco, while I had the Smoked Mozzarella Chicken. In my opinion, that is probably the very best chicken dish in the house; definitely one of the best overall dishes. Too bad it is only a limited time offer. We also ordered my favorite appetizer, the Smoked Mozzarella Fonduta. With the $4 coupon that Jaime had, coupled with my employee discount, our $32 bill was reduced to about $20, which is a damn good deal.

At the end of the night, Jaime and I rented out a room at the Passport Inn - a $100 room with a jacuzzi nonetheless - for only $75 (including tax)!!!!!! Apparently the hotel manager was desperate to sell rooms to guests, so he sold a jacuzzi suite to us at a discounted rate. For that rate, hopefully there was nothing wrong with the jacuzzi and they cleaned it.

That pretty much sums up the latest events in my life. At 11:30, I am due at the restaurant for my lunch shift, and then at 4pm I am working the dinner shift as well. This is the third double in a row that I will be working and I plan on working one tomorrow. So far, I am only scheduled for the lunch shift tomorrow, but I just might pick up dinner so I can earn some additional cash to pay some bills. I am still searching for an apartment in the Atlantic County area. I am preparing for graduation next month and looking for a job that I can get with the degree in the process of that preparation. Life has not been so easy lately, but I suppose it has ups and downs just like everything else in the world. I am eagerly anticipating the potentially smooth ride at the end of this unsteady journey. If it is any consolation, 2006 appears to starting off on a high note with my trip to California along with what will be a newly acquired bachelors degree earned by me.

That is all for now folks. The kiddies are getting rather vocal in library at this moment, so it is time for me to depart. Everyone take care, come again soon, have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and stuff yourself with turkey all day long. Afterwards, you can burp, fart, and poop all you want. Just don't do it around me.

Peace.

CALIFORNIA TRIP NOW OFFICIAL!!! January 26-30!

As of last night, during our celebration of Anna's birthday in Atlantic City, NJ, I was informed by Scott that our (Bill and I) tickets have been purchased and I will be flying out of J.F.K. airport on Jetblue in New York with Bill to see Scott in California!

WHO HOO!!!!

Our time in California will be from January 26 to January 30. We already have the tickets, but I am working on getting Jaime a ticket so she can fly out with us for this trip as well. During the trip, we will be traveling to San Francisco, San Diego, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and the entrance to Compton. LOL. I want to take a picture with the Entering Compton sign. What a magnificent way to begin the year 2006! As you can tell, I am truly excited and psyched up for this big trip. More to come later about the trip as well as Anna's birthday celebration. Time to go to dinner at the Olive Garden with Jaime.

Peace.

Graduation draws near!!!

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY ANNA!

After a major scare yesterday morning due to a dilemma at the Bursar's Office, I realize that my graduation will in fact be happening in five short weeks, with a major thanks to Jaime and my mother. Thank you both very much! Graduation IS going to happen. As a result, I have a growing agenda that is going to cross over into 2006, for which I must be ready to acknowledge.

I must renew my auto insurance and pay the necessary fee to get that up and running again. I must also get ready to pay back my student loans next April; first I need to consolidate them. Many responsibilities for which I am accountable for that I must take care of. Most importantly, I am graduating next month! The time has come to look for a real job so that I may have the privledge of bringing home the real bacon rather than the country spam I am currently taking home with me. It will happen ladies and gentlemen.

Monster and Careerbuilder, here I come!

Busy week upcoming; bring on a corporate therapist!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen - family, friends, and fans.

So what is the latest?

Today I worked a lunch shift and was released a little while ago. I made over $40, which is not bad considering it was only a lunch shift. My much-desired move back to South Jersey has not progressed the way I initially wanted it to, but when the right opportunity presents itself, I will seize that opportunity E-MEDIATELY. I am trying to move out of my house A.S.A.P.!

Having picked up some extra shifts for this week, I now have a busy week in store for me. Tomorrow, I am working a double as a server (11:30 am and 4:30pm). Wednesday, I work at 11:30 am as a server and at 4:30 pm as a busser. Thursday's schedule is the same as Wednesday's schedule. On Friday, I work at 11:30 am as a server. Fortunately I am off on Saturday, but I am working another double on Sunday. Hopefully I do not get too burnt out, but I requested the extra shifts so I could make some much-needed income. It is not exactly my favorite way to spend time, nor is the Olive Garden my favorite place to be (at least as an employer), but a man has got to do what a man has got to do when cash is a necessity.

Beginning my shift at 10 o'clock this morning, I informed one of our managers, as well as a few of the other opening staff members, about the work-related nightmares I have been suffering on a consistent basis. She was not surprised; in fact she had some of her own nightmares to share with us. She once had a dream about singing the Bona Festa song to birthday guests and she told us how she sung it out loud in her sleep because she was dreaming about the song so frequently. Whenever I get home from work, I am able to relax and come back down from the stresses in the workplace. However, when I go to sleep, my experiences at work cloud my mind to the point where I wake up in the middle of night, firmly believing that I still have tables of guests to greet and acknowledge. This has never happened to me before. At that point, as a joke, I suggested that corporate hire a therapist for each Olive Garden, so that we may benefit from mental therapy in an extremely stressful work environment. All of the employees present immediately began laughing, but were agreeable with my idea.

This Friday night, we will all be celebrating Anna's 21st birthday in Atlantic City; it is sure to be special event worth attending. I can not wait for that time to come. All of the doubles I am working this week are sure to provide me with the necessary funds for that event.

One week from tomorrow, Scott will be returning to New Jersey to spend Thanksgiving with his family, so I will once again have a chance to see him again. Flights are unbelievably cheap this week, so Scott purchased three round-trip air flights (one for next week, one for January, and one for February) for $138 each to come home to Jersey. That is a tremendous deal; one that is just not at all that common!

That is all for now. Take care and come again soon!

Peace.

SHANA IS A DUDE WITH A "WINKY"!!!!

Much to my surprise, I discovered last night that Shana, our supposedly "female" feline, is actually a male!!!

It all started when my mother brought her (now him) to the veterinarian to have her tooth checked out. The front tooth was sticking up out of her mouth. According to the vet, she had a serious jaw infection, which lifted the tooth up out of her gums - she also had a winky, without a set, all these years. If you follow the vet's lead, she is a fixed male.

I was startled when my mother told me this on the phone last night. Come on now... how much time do you actually spend examining your pet's genitals??? Personally, I try not to make it a hobby of mine. That was the first time we actually had to take him the the vet and we ended up with an alarming discovery. After all the years of calling him Shana, it will take plenty of cat therapy to restore this poor feline's self esteem.

Is this the week of the transgendered????

First, I become acquainted with the widely renowned and transgendered Dylan Scholinski at Monmouth University... and now I realize my pet is in a similar situation. Female firmly believing and feeling like she is a male, male being catered to as a female, almost identical circumstances! Perhaps they can exchange their equipment. Oh my God, that was disgusting!

Due to the update of this cat's newly discovered sex, Shana will now be renamed Shane. Oh our little hermaphrodite kitty cat - how cute! Even more frightening, all of those carnal poses of flirtation, coming directly from Shane, targeted at the two other male cats (Raz and Dinky), may yet symbolize homosexuality in the third of the three male cats we have in our house!!!

Downing candy, popping in movie(s), and working hard for the money!

Let me begin this post a loud and hardy Congratulations to Senator John Corzine for his victory over Doug Forrester in the race for Elected Governor. Yes, it happened nine days ago, but better late than never...

As a person who has never truly taken the side of democrat or republican in the political races, I can honestly say that the right man won this particular election. Corzine has been a major help to me in terms of financial aid for college and problems I had with certain companies and their products. He cares about the people of New Jersey as well as our fair state and he will do what he can to help us with property tax reduction.

Work went a little bit smoother today during the lunch shift than it normally goes for me. I made about $10 more than I usually do for lunch, perhaps because my relief for the dinner shift was not due in until 5pm. For next week, I requested that I receive some bussing shifts along with my serving shifts so that I may receive paychecks along with my tip money rather than the voided pieces of paper I have been picking up every Friday.

My day and a half with Jaime in Howell was a good time. On Wednesday night, We rented The Amityville Horror (2005) starring Ryan Reynolds. Maybe it is just me, but Ryan Reynolds is just too damn comical to be in ANY horror movie and that notion was apparent in this remake of The Amityville Horror. Do not get me wrong; this was a decent remake, but Ryan Reynolds was not exactly the George Lutz who was played by James Brolin. Overall, it was good movie and certainly scary enough to make me want to keep the light on for a few minutes before turning in for shut eye.

The next day, we went to Target to pay my Target bill and get a soda, some nachos, popcorn, and a pretzel. Yummy. Around 4pm, we both went to Monmouth University because Jaime had class and I had nothing better to do. As a result, we ended up attending Dylan Scholinski's "The Last Time I wore a Dress" presentation at the student center. Dylan is a transgendered male who was speaking to undergraduate and graduate students about his transformation as well as his duration of time in the nut house when he was a younger she. Afterwards, Jaime took me to Ruby Tuesdays and I ordered a Turkey Sandwich with a side of fries and Cheese and Broccoli soup for an appetizer. Cheese and Broccoli soup is up there with some of the best stuff on earth; truly delicious!

Later that night, we returned The Amityville Horror to Blockbuster and rented Psycho (1960) starring Anthony Perkins. Jaime had never seen this flick, which was directed by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock. The movie is a chilling blend of horror and suspense; it is not a gory slasher film like many of the movies in the horror genre. I recommended Psycho due to the fact that Jaime is psychology major and also because I wanted to see it again. Psycho deals with a shady hermit of a man by the name of Norman Bates who runs his mother's hotel somewhere out in California. Norman's troubled history and upbringing effects the way he acts throughout the film and ultimately has an impact on his actions at the end of the movie. I do not want to give away the entire plot of this film, so you will have to rent it and see it for yourself. Most people have already seen this movie; it is indeed a classic.

Jaime and I had a great couple of days. As a result of all the left over Halloween candy, I had the opportunity to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Here I am back in D-town once again. The progress on my latest residential move has been minimal, but I keep trucking along, nonetheless, and remain confident that a really solid offer will come my way. I am ready to move out of my house in DoverRico and return to South Jersey where I feel I rightfully belong.

That is all for now folks. Later this evening, I will heading to a bar in Andover to drink with Steve-O who is moving back to Utah next week, along with some of the other Olive Garden co-workers. Steve-O was one of my favorite people who worked at the restaurant with me and I will certainly miss having him around. I must go out with my Olive Garden allies and drink to the sad departure of a fine young man. He will be missed. Until next time, have a great night, be safe, and come again soon for the latest news and events.

Peace.

Couple days with Jaime: More to come later!

For the past couple days, I was down in Howell with Jaime. I even went to Monmouth University with her last night and spent some time at the student center while she went to class. Afterwards, she treated me to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays - probably for going to school with her. The campus is very nice; perhaps I will go there for graduate school someday. We shall see. That is all for now; I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the latest. There will be more to come in greater detail a little later. For now, it is time for me to get ready for work.

Take care everyone.

Peace.

Phone call from Scottie-D, what is on my horizon, and more!

Blog of Bryan has so much more traffic... I am loving the fan base ladies and gentlemen! Kudos goes out to all of my family, friends, and fans.

I called the dude who lives at the apartment, the one I am trying to move into in Somers Point, but there was no answer so I left him a message telling him I was interested in renting out a room. Clearly, everyone now understands that I will no longer be living at home in Dover-Rico, or "the bowl," as many of its residents commonly refer to it as.

Earlier this afternoon, Scott called me and talked to me for a little while. We talked about the stupidity of George Bush, politics, internet pornography and how that idiot of a leader is trying to ban it, the new XBOX 360 being released next month, school, New Jersey, and California. It was a rather lengthy conversation. Scott currently lives in Sacramento, California, but he is moving to Hawaii in June with his wife Liezel. What he is doing with his life in terms of traveling is unprecedented in comparison to the rest of our high school graduating class, or anybody in our demographic for that matter. When he finally lands a pad in Hawaii, I informed him that I want to fly out there and visit him.

This year is rapidly coming to a conclusion; it was truly a year of trials and tribulations, drama, obstacles with employment, and will inevitably come to a close with my graduation. Hopefully the year 2006 is a breath of fresh air, for which I can start over with a clean slate to some degree. I know I need a vacation; a break from the apparent stresses of everyday life in the work place. More exercise is required if I opt to take care of myself and remain healthy. My three year anniversary with Jaime is coming up on December 18. We, Jaime and I, are leaning towards a trip to N.Y.C. for this year's anniversary; I would love to attend a Broadway play. It would be a magnificent way to conclude the year and celebrate our three years of love and devotion for each other.

What will the new year bring?

Residence in South Jersey is certain. Perhaps, as an alumni, I will become more involved in the functions that Stockton has to offer. There is no doubt that I want to become more involved with the school because I am quite fond of the campus and the atmosphere. I definitely want to hang out with my friends from the area, such as Jeremy, Keeley, Anna, Erik, Kristen, Ben, Jack, Colleen, Frank, Brian, and many others much more often than is the currently the case. Our time together during my birthday celebration was short and sweet, but it was a sign that we need to come together more often for fun and excitement. We are only young once and it is essential that we, as friends, take advantage of that time together. Spring semester 2006 is right around the corner, so all Stockton students must prepare for the return of the Uncrowned King of Life. I'm coming back, just not as a student!

Living down in South Jersey will present Jeremy and I with the opportunity to settle an old score in Fight Night Round 2. He is leading me in the series, so we both have a purpose in continuing our everlasting saga with that game. Jeremy is probably reading this post, shaking his head with a grin on his face, and telling Keeley and Sean that I am certifiable. LOL. Nonetheless, I need to catch up in this legendary video game series and win at least as many fights against him as he has won against me. On the other hand, he needs to turn the recent tide which has flowed smoothly in my favor. I won the last two fights, so we definitely need to play again soon. Whenever we get together to play video games and drink, it always produces shits and giggles.

I love the pineys. I love the ocean. I love Stockton. I love the people down South. I am a Southerner at heart and I will be in South Jersey again very soon. The pineys are the ideal grounds for road work, which I need to do more often. There are too many hills up here in North Jersey; I like flat grounds, trees, and fresh air. As I sit and wonder what exactly is going to happen to me following the drama at home and the stresses in the work place, I remain positive that this is a sign from God telling me that I need to make this move and that I need some sort of change or restructuring of life.

This entire post has really taken a stream-of-consciousness format, but I felt like typing and I typed what was on my mind. I know you had fun reading it and I invite you to return so you may have the privledge to read more. You do not want to miss a beat!

The time has come for me to go to the Olive Garden and see if the internship contract has been signed and returned in the mail from the Florida headquarters. Perhaps I will see if anybody wants to go to Fridays and get a snack after work.

Take care and be safe.

Peace.

Back and forth and back again!

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Hope all is well with my world wide audience on this warmer than usual Monday afternoon in November. As you look at the title of this entry, you are probably asking yourselves just what exactly I am referring to? Back and forth and back again? Is it making you dizzy?? Where am I going with this particular entry???

As of about two days ago, I have decided that I am going to make a more permanent move in terms of my place of residence. Back in May, I departed from D-town to live in South Jersey with the intentions of conducting my internship down in that area of the state. When I discovered that I was not going to do my internship down there, I returned home to D-town with the primary intentions of completing my internship under the conditions of free room and board at mamma's residence. However, the internship is practically complete now and it is time for me to move out and live on my own once again. The moms has decided to start charging me for rent due to the fact that I am becoming somewhat of a lazy and ungrateful burden (uh oh!!), and I totally respect her opinion, so the time has come for me to once again depart. Afterall, how many 25-year-olds are going to pay rent to live with their mother and under their mother's terms and conditions?!?!? Yeahhhhh... I did not think there were very many of you out there.

The moment has come for me to get the hell out of dodge for all-times sake.

As a result, Jaime and I have discovered a nice little pad for me on Rent.com in Somers Point, very close to Ocean City, where I can move in with these two kind gentlemen who happen to be brothers (one of them from Stockton... perhaps I know him) who are looking for a fun, charismatic, and easy-to-live-with third roommate, in hopes of decreasing their rent charges. Such a situation is really no different than a returning campus resident who is moving into an apartment with random roommates for an entire school year. All of the amenities and utilities to this apartment will be covered in greater detail in a later post, but the rent is way too affordable to pass up and the apartment/duplex is located in an area that brings out the best in yours truly. Who knows how long I will stay in that particular apartment? Hopefully it is for a while. Should some of my close Stockton friends and I decide to live together and find an apartment in the local area, I might consider finding some place to live with them. After her graduate school education is completed, Jaime is going to want to live with me and that is going to happen at least two years down the road. At this time, however, I feel as though everything can work out at the apartment in Somers Point. Plans have not been solidified as of yet, but I should have everything set in stone very shortly.

What exactly is in store for me in the event of this latest and greatest move?

Much cheaper gas, shore points, country setting, Wawas, Atlantic City, nicer people, closer to my soulmate, minutes away from some of my closest friends, etc. This move makes great sense. I am no fool!

This, my friends, is a revolution. It could even be a fresh start; a resurrection of the man who was living on the high road prior to this internship mayhem with the Olive Garden in Rockaway. To all of my current Stockton students and South Jersey/Atlantic County residents who are friends of mine, I will indeed be present for spring semester. Therefore, let the good times roll!

Many of you are now 21 years of age, or will be 21 within weeks, so we need to find ourselves some venues where we can enjoy some cold adult beverages. Whether is Pitney, the Corner Tavern, the Irish Pub, Atlantic City, Stockton College, or any of the fun places in the pineys or cities nearby, we are going to have fun.

As Andy Dufraine stated in Shawshank Redemption, Get busy living... or get busy dying.

Peace.

Tonight is the night ladies and gentlemen; a night of celebration and festivities dedicated to my quarter of a century birthday - a landmark, if you will. I am hearing some rumors about this celebration; some have said that tonight is a night for which anything could happen. We will see. The suspense is pounding... let it last for a little while. This day is HUGE. God bless this beautiful day of the year, for which I was created. Only on my birthday could the temperature be in the 70s in New Jersey in the month of November! Frost on your car windows and winter clothing is usually the norm this time of year. By golly, that is not the case on MY birthday. Think about it!

Later this evening, we are off to Atlantic City for a magical, yet unpredictable evening. Sounds intriguing! I dearly thank and praise everyone who is going to be in attendance... I am still not 100% sure! LOL.

Life's tests

As of late, life seems to be testing me to see what I am truly made of. My job, my age, expenses, upcoming events, etc. are revealing my character and bringing about a reaction from deep within me. I do not yet know if that reaction is positive or negative.

My 25th birthday is rapidly approaching in just two short days, which is truly unbelievable. The celebration is going to take place in Atlantic City, on the eve of November 5, which will hopefully be a memorable occasion. Jaime told me earlier this morning that she has a special suprise for me, so I look forward to seeing just what that happens to be. I hope to see a number of my friends and close acquaintances in attendance on November 5 in Atlantic City.

Yesterday I managed to work a double, as I covered for one of the servers during the dinner shift. The money I earned throughout the entire day was average at $85. After work, I went to Friday's with Steve-O, who is returning home to Utah in another week or so. So far, I have not made as much money as a server as I used to working as a busser. Paychecks are the major difference between the two positions. Bussers are paid a much higher hourly rate. Due to the exceptional benefits that I receive from this job, I am somewhat locked into this job until I find a better job with similar offers in the realm of benefits.

On this day off from work, I plan to relax and do a little bit more cleaning of my bedroom and car.

I look foward to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Holidays are times of relaxation, stressless activity, and peace for your's truly. It seems as though everyone gets a fresh chance come the start of a new year and 2006 is a year for which I hope to make some changes, goals, and notable achievements. Once I graduate in December, I want to map out exactly what I plan to achieve, my game plan(s) for doing so, and set myself in a direction to make great things happen. As I go around in circles with limited direction, I detect a need for resolution.

  • exercise
  • the GMAT
  • graduate school
  • money
  • fun and vacations in between

All of these significant factors of my life will occur one at a time, but not before a lengthy vacation, highly intended to rejuvenate me and tune me up for a new set of challenges and ideas. Hopefully I can go someplace far and exciting for this vacation that I am thinking of. Stress is the biggest bitch of all. I just need to breathe and take one step at a time. Time for a change is coming; setting my sights on some continents, perhaps a change in location of residence (like, outside of NJ), change in perspective of life, change in career path, and just an overall plan in general. For now, this is my day off from work.

Fright Fest at Great Adventure... and the Olive Garden!

4 days until my birthday! The celebration will be in Atlantic City on Saturday night!

Halloween certainly did not prevent the vultures from coming out to eat at the Olive Garden last night. During a dinner shift filled with complexity, chaos, madness, and frustation, I put myself through hell and back to earn $94. The best night I have so far, money-wise, but not necessarily the healthiest shift of my life mentality-wise. I was indeed present at Fright Fest last night for Halloween, but it was not the one at Six Flags Great Adventure!

At the end of the night, I went with a bunch of my work buddies to T.G.I. Fridays to get a small bite to eat and some drinks. Whenever we go to Friday's, it is never a dull moment. The group consisted of Mike, Eileen, Beth, Peter, Gabe, George, Steve-O, and myself. Steve-O was talking to some ladies at the bar and the rest of us watched to see what might happen as a result of that. I ate chicken quesadillas and drank an Ultimate Mudslide, a large Yuengling Draft, and a bottle of Heineken.

After such a rough night at work, we needed some time when we could just go out, get some drinks, and cool down.

That is all for now. Take care and keep reading.

Peace.
